Description:
This antique drop leaf table is from France and it dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is made from rosewood and finished to a warm/dark color with a lovely antique patina. It features hand-carved acanthus leaves, shell motifs, and fluted legs connected by a turned stretcher. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every curve and contour. The table's expandable drop-leaf top transforms from a compact square to a generous oval surface, making it perfect for use as a side table, occasional table, or desk. A smoothly operating drawer offers convenient storage for stationery, accessories, or keepsakes. This table is in very good antique condition with minor nicks, discolorations and scratches. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished the set with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come.
