Description:
This antique Gothic hall bench dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and was crafted in France. Made from oak, the high-backed settle features carved panels with pointed lancet arches and quatrefoil tracery. A pierced Gothic crest extends across the top, while shaped arms frame the paneled seat and box-form base.
The seat lifts to reveal a spacious storage compartment. This makes the bench particularly useful in an entryway, hall, or living area. Its rich brown finish, aged patina, architectural carving, and combination of seating and concealed storage give the piece both visual presence and practical function.
Like all our antiques, it was thoughtfully sourced in Europe, to be imported to our Oregon warehouse, and carefully finished with antique-grade paste wax to preserve its beauty for years to come.

This bench shows surface wear, minor marks, and finish variations consistent with age and use.

Shipping:
Large items are carefully blanket-wrapped and delivered by trusted small-business transport companies experienced in handling antiques and fine furniture. This personalized service does not use parcel-style tracking. We arrange transport based on route availability and notify the customer of the scheduled pickup date; the transporter then contacts the customer at least 24 hours before delivery. Transit typically takes 4-8 weeks. Delivery is to one accessible entry point; inside placement, unpacking, and setup are not included unless arranged in advance. We recommend inspecting the item upon arrival. Shipping is included in the list price for delivery within the contiguous United States.
Local Pickup:
Local customers are welcome to visit our Oregon warehouse to inspect the item and arrange pickup. No additional shipping or handling charges apply to local pickup.
