Description:
This antique hand crafted oak wood alms collection box dates to the mid to late 1800's. It's original use would have been for donations from congregation at a church. Note the slot on the top for collecting donations. This is a very solid piece with hand made wrought iron trim, hinge and latch. As expected, the finish is worn and gives it just the right patina for its age.
Condition:
It is in very good antique condition with no significant damage (see photos). Note that the lock does not work and there is no key with it. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished the set with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come.
