Description:
This beautiful French canopy bed dates to the mid to late 1800's. Its imposing architectural form features four twisted posts supporting a fully paneled overhead canopy. The canopy is richly carved around the perimeter and centered underneath by a large floral rosette.
Both the headboard and footboard display relief carving, scrolling foliage, molded panels, and prominent carved crests. The dark brown finish emphasizes the ornament and gives the bed a strong Renaissance-style presence. The interior sleeping area measures 48" wide x 78.75" long, so a custom mattress and support system may be required.
Like all our antiques, it was thoughtfully sourced in Europe, imported to our Oregon warehouse, and carefully finished with antique-grade paste wax to preserve its beauty for years to come.

Shipping:
