Description:
This stained glass church window dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and was crafted in France. Its design combines Neo-Gothic ecclesiastical styling with Romanesque or Byzantine-inspired symmetry and iconography.
It depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus standing before radiating golden light, with one hand raised in blessing and the other indicating the Sacred Heart. Four angels surround the central figure-two bowing above and two kneeling below. Rich ruby, cobalt blue, green, violet, and gold glass is enhanced by finely painted faces, patterned garments, and ornamental details.
The tall, narrow composition gives the panel a strong architectural presence. It remains set within a sturdy mahogany wood frame with horizontal reinforcing bars and would be well suited for a chapel, devotional space, illuminated interior feature, or incorporated architectural installation.
Like all our antiques, it was thoughtfully sourced in Europe, to be imported to our Oregon warehouse, and carefully handled to preserve its beauty for years to come.
Condition:
This window is in very good antique condition, with vivid color and the painted detail remaining clear. One glass section near the bottom has a small crack, as shown in the photographs. The window remains solidly supported in its wood frame with horizontal reinforcing bars. Age-related wear, surface marks, and patina are present to the glass, lead, and frame. The mahogany frame is solid and strong.

Large items are carefully blanket-wrapped and delivered by trusted small-business transport companies experienced in handling antiques and fine furniture. We arrange transport based on route availability and notify the customer of the scheduled pickup date; the transporter then contacts the customer at least 24 hours before delivery. Transit typically takes 4-8 weeks. Delivery is to one accessible entry point; inside placement, unpacking, and setup are not included unless arranged in advance. We recommend inspecting the item upon arrival. Shipping is included in the list price for delivery within the contiguous United States.
Local Pickup:
Local customers are welcome to visit our Oregon warehouse to inspect items prior to purchase and to arrange pickup. Local pickup includes no shipping or handling charges.
