Description:
This magnificent double-door set with architectural surround dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and was crafted in France. The solid oak doors measure 8 feet tall at their arched centers and feature gracefully curved molded panels. The old-growth fir surround brings the complete installation to an impressive 11 feet tall.
The upper portion of the surround can be removed if a shorter installation is needed. Bronze hardware remains with the set, although one hinge cap is missing and the working condition of the lockset is unknown. This substantial architectural element could be restored for use as an interior doorway, grand entry, or distinctive room divider.
Like all our antiques, it was thoughtfully sourced in Europe, imported to our Oregon warehouse, and carefully finished with antique-grade paste wax to preserve its beauty for years to come.
Condition:
The oak doors and fir surround are structurally solid, with no signs of active woodworm or dry rot. The painted finish is in poor condition, with extensive wear, peeling, and surface losses; refinishing is recommended. One bronze hinge cap is missing, and the lockset has not been tested. Please review the photographs closely for condition details.

Local Inspections & Pickup:
Local customers are welcome to visit our Oregon warehouse to inspect items prior to purchase and to arrange pickup. Local pickup includes no shipping or handling charges.
