Description:
This antique European carved oak panel depicts a religious teaching scene with Jesus seated at the center surrounded by figures and children. The composition is framed beneath elegant Gothic arches and tracery, with finely detailed architectural carving above and decorative motifs along the base.

The relief carving shows expressive figures gathered around Christ, emphasizing a moment of blessing or instruction. This panel is reclaimed from a gothic church pulpit. Overall, this piece is in very good antique condition with no woodworm, no dry rot, and no structural issues. It shows minor surface wear consistent with age and historical use, which contributes to its authentic character. The edges and rear are unfinished and there is a somewhat lighter band at the front top and bottom.
