The 120+ year old Sacred Heart Parish church in Hoboken (Antwerp), Belgium closed several years ago and is currently slated for demolition. In April 2024 we purchased the furnishings with a goal of salvaging them and placing them in new homes in the USA.
We have three essentially identical confessionals: this one and two others. This listing is for one with the two others available. This Gothic revival confessional is as old as the church-circa 1900. It's all handmade from solid oak with typical Gothic carvings. It's exceptionally well built with excellent fit and finish. It's in very good antique condition with only very minor chips, cracks and discolorations consistent with its age. Note the minor staining of the base near the floor. There is no notable woodworm or dry rot.

108" tall and 97" wide and 48" deep (front to back).

Overall, these piece are in very good antique condition with no woodworm, no dry rot, and no structural issues. It shows minor surface wear consistent with age and historical use, which contributes to its authentic character.
