Antique Religious Church Leaded Stained Glass 9 Foot Pair Panels Dated 1893

$22,275.00

Description:
This exceptional pair of antique European stained and painted glass windows depicts Jesus Christ and Moses, rendered in rich polychrome with finely detailed facial expressions, drapery, and symbolic attributes. Each figure is shown beneath a pointed Gothic arch, framed by intricate floral and architectural borders and set against luminous blue and jewel-toned glass that comes alive when backlit.

The Christ panel bears the inscription "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life," while the Moses panel reads "I will give thee tables of stone and a law," reinforcing their theological pairing and original ecclesiastical intent.

Each large 9 foot window is comprised of 3 pieces. These windows were produced for permanent church installation in Ashton under Lyne, England where they were commissioned in 1893 in memory of a church member. They reflect the high level of craftsmanship associated with late 19th to early 20th century European stained glass workshops. They are well suited for architectural reuse, a light box display, or installation within a chapel, home, or sacred space where transmitted light can fully showcase their color and depth.

Note that the pieces were photographed separately and assembled in their correct positions using photoshop.
