Description:
This antique painting of Madonna and Child is after the original painting by Bartolomé Esteban Perez Murillo (1618 - 1682) that is presently displayed in Florence at the Palazzo Pitti. This painting originated in the mid-1800's, we believe in Belgium or France. The paint shows some cracking as would be expected but the colors are vibrant. The water gilded gold leaf frame appears to be original to the painting. Photos of the reverse side show the canvas and frame to be in very good antique condition with no obvious repairs.

Condition:
Overall, this entire set is in very good antique condition with no woodworm, no dry rot, and no structural issues. The pieces show only very minor wear consistent with age and use. Once it arrives in our Oregon warehouse, we will carefully finish with antique-grade paste wax to preserve its beauty for years to come.
