Description:
This premium quality Gothic Revival office suite dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and was crafted in France.
This set includes a substantial partner's desk, two matching tall cabinets (armoires), and a coordinating carved armchair. Crafted from richly grained oak wood, the set features pointed arch tracery, carved foliate panels, architectural moldings, and bold cornice detailing throughout.
The desk is a true statement piece, designed to be placed prominently in a room. All four sides are fully finished with carved Gothic paneling, allowing it to function beautifully as a center-room executive desk. It features a bank of multiple drawers for organized office storage. The front side features carved panels for symmetry and the apron is decorated with continuous Gothic-inspired carving beneath a substantial overhanging top. Drawers retain their original pulls and open smoothly, offering generous storage capacity.
Each cabinet features paneled doors with carved tracery overlays, strong vertical lines, and projecting cornices. The interiors include adjustable shelving, providing practical storage for books, files, or office materials while maintaining a dramatic architectural presence. The accompanying armchair echoes the design language of the desk and cabinets, with an open tracery back, shaped arms, and carved details that reinforce the unified aesthetic of the set.
This office ensemble offers commanding scale and period character, ideal for a library, executive office, study, or statement workspace.
